1. Pet & Family Photography

How long do sessions last?
Most pet and family photography sessions in Leeds or Yorkshire last between 1 and 2 hours. The exact timing depends on the number of pets, their energy levels, and the chosen location — whether that's at home, in the studio, or outdoors at a park. Sessions are flexible to allow breaks if your pet needs to rest or reset.

Can I be in the photos with my pet?
Absolutely! Many clients choose to be included in their pet portraits to capture the bond between family and pet. I always encourage this — these images often become the most meaningful and personal.

How far in advance should I book?
It's best to book your session a few weeks in advance to secure your preferred date and location. For busy seasons (spring and autumn), booking earlier is recommended. 

What do I need to prepare before the session?
Bring along anything that will make your pet comfortable and engaged — favourite treats, toys, or even a blanket they love. For outdoor shoots, a lead and water are useful. For family sessions, co-ordinating outfits (without being too matchy) work really well. The aim is to keep things natural, relaxed, and fun.

2. Wedding Photography

Do you photograph weddings?
Yes! I specialise in wedding photography in Leeds, Yorkshire, and across the UK. My style is relaxed and documentary-led, capturing the genuine emotions, laughter, and quiet details of the day.

How far in advance should we book?
I recommend booking 3–6 months in advance, especially for popular summer and weekend dates. This ensures you secure your date and allows us to start planning your photography coverage around your schedule.

Do you take posed group shots as well as candid ones?
Yes — while my style is primarily documentary and candid, I always make time for posed family group shots if you'd like them. A list prepared in advance helps keep this quick and stress-free so you can return to enjoying your day.

Can you travel for weddings outside Leeds/Yorkshire?
Yes. Although I'm based in Leeds, I regularly travel throughout Yorkshire and across the UK for weddings. Travel is included for local weddings, with additional costs for locations further afield.

3. STEM Photography

What is STEM photography?
STEM photography documents the world of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths through professional imagery. I work with organisations such as ESERO, UKSEDS, and universities to cover rocket launches, engineering builds, outreach events, and research projects. My work is designed for both public engagement and academic/industry documentation. 

Do you offer fast turnaround for outreach events?
Yes — I know how important it is for outreach and communications teams to share content quickly. I often deliver highlight images within 1 week (or sooner if required) so they can be used for press, social media, or internal reports.

Do you have experience working in technical or restricted environments?
Yes. I'm experienced in photographing projects in labs, workshops, and restricted-access facilities. I follow safety guidelines carefully, work discreetly around engineers and scientists, and use appropriate equipment to avoid disrupting experiments or technical processes.

4. Astrithia – Fashion & Editorial Photography

What is Astrithia?
Astrithia is the fashion and editorial photography side of Ben Adams Photography. It focuses on bold, stylish, and creative imagery — ideal for editorial campaigns, brand lookbooks, and model portfolios.

Do you work with both individual models and fashion brands?
Yes. I collaborate with individual models looking to build or refresh their portfolios, as well as with designers, stylists, and fashion brands that need editorial or commercial content.

Can you help with styling or recommend makeup artists?
Yes. I often collaborate with local stylists, makeup artists, and creative teams. If you'd like recommendations or support in planning your shoot, I can connect you with trusted professionals to help bring your vision to life.

5. General

Why should I hire a professional photographer?
Hiring a professional ensures more than just high-quality images. With over 10 years of experience and a BA (Hons) in Photography (and an MA in progress), I bring technical expertise, creativity, and the ability to put people at ease in front of the camera. I specialise in pet and family portraits, wedding photography, fashion/editorial shoots, and STEM/engineering photography across Leeds, Yorkshire, and the UK.

How long does it take to receive my images?
Turnaround times vary depending on the session:

• Pet & Family Photography: 1–2 weeks
• Fashion / Editorial Shoots: 2–3 weeks
• Weddings: 4–6 weeks
• STEM / Events: Within 1 week (if required)

How are final images delivered?
You'll receive an online gallery where you can view, download, and order prints. Wedding clients also receive a USB of high-resolution images. Printed products such as albums, canvases, and framed prints are also available on request.

Do you require a deposit?
I work flexibly with bookings. For weddings, a 10% deposit is usually required once your date is confirmed. For smaller sessions (pets, family, fashion, or STEM), payment is typically made upon delivery. This approach ensures clarity while keeping things simple and stress-free for clients.

6. Payment & Delivery

Payment Options
I keep payments simple and flexible. All invoices are sent securely through QuickBooks, and I accept PayPal, bank transfer, or cash. For weddings, a 10% deposit secures your date, with the balance due two weeks before. For smaller sessions (pets, families, fashion, STEM), payment is usually made upon delivery of the final images.

Image Delivery
Your finished images are delivered via Dropbox or the Saal Digital platform, depending on your needs. This makes it easy to view, download, and share your gallery with family, friends, or colleagues.

Additional Options
If you'd prefer something physical, I can provide a USB with your images or arrange professional prints, canvases, or albums through Saal Digital for an additional charge. These options ensure your photographs are not only stored safely but also ready to be displayed and treasured.

7. Copyright & Crediting

All images remain the copyright of Ben Adams Photography. Clients purchasing a package (or additional images) are licensed to use the edited images delivered as part of their package for personal use.

Proof images, unedml#pet-familyited files, or RAW files are not available for use or distribution. Using images that have not been purchased or edited is a breach of copyright, as they are not a finished representation of my work. This ensures that only high-quality, fully edited photographs represent both your memories and my portfolio.

For paid sessions, you are not required to credit me when sharing your final images, although it is always appreciated — tagging or mentioning Ben Adams Photography on social media really helps my business grow.

For free sessions (offered at my discretion or through competitions), crediting is required whenever the images are shared online or in print.

Commercial and organisational clients (such as universities, brands, or STEM partners) will receive tailored usage terms depending on the project.

8. How long does it take to get my images ?

Turnaround time depends on the type of session, but typically:

• Pet and family sessions: You'll receive your finished images within 1 to 2 weeks.
• Weddings: Delivery takes around 4 to 6 weeks, depending on the length of coverage and time of year.

I carefully hand-edit every image to ensure the final photos are polished, consistent, and true to the moment. This includes colour correction, retouching (where needed), and creative adjustments to bring out the best in each shot — while keeping things natural and authentic.

You'll receive a carefully curated selection of the best images from the session (usually between 15–50 for pets/families and 300+ for weddings), depending on your package. Final images are delivered via an online gallery, where you can view, download, and order prints with ease.
